personal space!

So I decided to set up a dodge ball area behind the Davidson Library on UCSB campus. I had wanted people leaving from class to come play a game with me. I bought four balls and made a t-shirt. My t-shirt said "Dodge my Balls". I thought this would grab peoples attention and they would want to play. I thought that having a poster would not making people look as much as seeing writing on a t-shirt. I got a lot of attention and people saw what I was doing but no body wanted to join in . I would talk to people and ask them to join but I could not get anyone to have some fun. I think that trying to do this during dead week was not affective. I feel that people are really trying to focus this week because they are all stressed the hell out. However I did get a lot of viewers.  From 9:20 to 9:40 the walk paths were packed with people waking by but everyone I talked to was going to class or leaving class o go to another class. I did not feel that my project was effective at all. I could not get participants to join which made me playing a game of dodge ball not happening.
I was really happy that once my classmates came over they were willing and excited to play a game with me. I think they had a great time and had a lot of fun. I wanted to play a game that brings back childhood memories of being on the school playgrounds playing a game of dodge ball. The balls I bought even had cartoon characters on them to play off of the childish theme. I think that if I had the opportunity I would find something better then this to do. I feel that they should have been a better outcome from it that's all.
